WAEC Releases Update on Withheld WASSCE Results – Check Your Status Now
Are you one of the thousands of candidates whose WASSCE results were withheld due to alleged malpractice? The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has just announced that you can now check the status of your results on their official portal.
What You Need to Know
In June, a total of 215,267 candidates (11.92% of the total 1,805,216 who sat for the exam) had their results withheld due to various cases of malpractice. Since then, many have been anxiously waiting to find out if their results have been released or if investigations are still ongoing.
WAEC’s Update
According to WAEC’s spokesperson, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina, investigations are still ongoing, but candidates who have lodged complaints and proven their innocence have had their results released. While she didn’t disclose the exact number of candidates who have had their results released, she assured that those who have complained have been attended to.

1. Check the WAEC portal for updates on your result status.
2. If your case is still pending, be patient and wait for the National Examination Committee to meet in early October to finalize the mAssuranc
WAEC’s Assurance
Mrs. Adesina reassured candidates that WAEC is aware of the importance of timely results for university admissions and other purposes. She promised that the council will thoroughly investigate each case and conclude the assignment within a reasonable timeframe.
